Jokes aside, this is just awesome total full contact heavy pummeling and maniacal trance under pouring rain of skull parts and flesh shreds. And the amount of some tasty nefarious riffs and world war-invoking battering, gee whiz! No fuckin' mercy at all. Ever. Favorite track: Through Siege And Attrition.

YomaBarr Folks, take my advice, forget all other today's releases and leap at this. The only word that comes to my mind is vortex. Black vortex. I don't know if I ever surface.
£4 for an EP is train robbery but I'm damned if it's not worth every penny. And one man on top of it? Ha!

dethgabelisa This is just a great blacken death metal!!! Got EPIC grooves, drumming is like Thor's hammer coming to pound you down, the vocals are amazing got the black and death growls down to a T!!! A must buy for sure and for only 4 pounds or $5 dollars USA can't go wrong!!! Favorite track: Will Of Iron.

This sounds like Tomb Mold and Morbid Angel, Covenant era. And that is just referring to track one. Those influences carry on throughout, but track two brings that Scandinavian sound, and by the end you get that wild Abraded energy. This is easily one of my favorite dm bands without an LP. The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
